The Living Object – The Power of Three!

In this intensive two-day masterclass, Wensley Piqué focuses on the technical and organic synergy of three-person puppet manipulation. Rather than traditional Bunraku, this workshop explores the contemporary application of collective breathing and movement to bring an object to life.

Day: 20 & 21 August
Time: 10:00 am–3:00 pm both days
Place: Studion at Kulturhuset Stadsteatern

Participants will work in groups of three, starting by building their own puppets from paper. This hands-on process is essential to understand the puppet's anatomy. Once built, the focus shifts to the 'collective mind': how three individuals can act as one soul to create a lifelike, moving character. It is a deep dive into focus, physical listening, and the craft of manipulation.
